Classification of supply chain practices according to customer values in automotive industry
Abstract

Supply chain spans all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption aiming to contribute to the end customer. In the current research data about six customer values namely quality, time, cost, customization, know-how, and respect environment is collected in automotive industry through a trade-off based questionnaire in order to identify customers preferences in this specific industry. Thereaftercustomer value data is discussed and analyzed using Bayesian network. Finally, supply chain practices which are contrubuting to those values are classified into two major groups as manufacturing and logistics practices. Supply chain decision makers can benefit from the outcome of this research to find out variety of practices that they can implement to improve the performance of their supply chain based on what is expected by consumers.
